The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.

Attractions like Bled Island and Zipline make great kid-friendly stops. Change things up with these side-trips from Bled: Bohinjsko Jezero (Church of St John the Baptist, Lake Bohinj, &more), Mostnica Gorge (in Stara Fužina) and Planina Zajamniki (in Srednja vas v Bohinju). Spend the 17th (Thu) exploring nature at Triglav National Park. There's lots more to do: glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour, get great views at Mala Osojnica, take in the dramatic natural features at Vintgar Gorge, and look for all kinds of wild species at Vršič Pass.
