The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.

If you are flying in from Canada, the closest major aiport is Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport. In August, daytime highs in Bled are 31°C, while nighttime lows are 15°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 2nd (Sat) early enough to go by car to Piran.

Traveling by car from Bled to Piran takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Bled in September, things will get a bit warmer in Piran: highs are around 28°C and lows about 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Mon) early enough to drive to Ljubljana.
