The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
Start off your visit on the 31st (Thu): glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour, take an in-depth tour of Prešeren House, then view the masterpieces at Franc Mihelič Gallery, then pause for some photo ops at Marian and Holy Trinity Columns, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Mount Blegoš. On your second day here, contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Bohinj, pause for some serene contemplation at Church of St John the Baptist, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St. Nicholas, then step off the mainland to explore Bled Island, and finally step into the grandiose world of Bled Castle.

Traveling by car from Bled to Piran takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Bled in September, things will get a bit warmer in Piran: highs are around 28°C and lows about 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Mon) early enough to drive to Ljubljana.
