Occupying the shores of the Savinja River in central Slovenia, Zalec remains famous for its beer fountain, the first one in Europe.
Kick off your visit on the 19th (Sat): explore the fascinating underground world of Hell Cave, go deep underground at The Coal Mining Museum of Slovenia, admire the masterpieces at Velenje Museum, then pause for some photo ops at Tito Statue, then get engrossed in the history at Eko Muzej, and finally admire the local landmark of Green Gold Beer Fountain.
