Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Parasailing & Paragliding and Velika Planina. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Ljubljana: Preskar Museum (in Stahovica), Church of St. George (in Zgornje Gorje) and Bled (Zipline, Straža Bled, &more). Spend the 3rd (Tue) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. The adventure continues: explore the activities along Ljubljanica River, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedral of St. Nicholas, take in the views from Cobblers' Bridge, and contemplate the long history of Old Town Centre of Radovljica.

Brussels, Belgium to Ljubljana is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. When traveling from Brussels in July, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Ljubljana: temperatures range from 32°C by day to 17°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Wed) to allow time to take a shuttle to Maribor.

Cycling may be one of the best ways to tour Maribor, a great base for exploring the surrounding area and conquering Pohorje Mountains.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Pyramid Archaeological Site and Ptuj Castle. Explore Maribor's surroundings by going to Spas (in Podčetrtek), Laško Municipality - Lilie Family Castle (in Laško) and Janina (in Rogaška Slatina). The adventure continues: see the interesting displays at Old Vine House, get to know the fascinating history of Grajski Trg square, appreciate the history behind St Florian Column, and explore the historical opulence of Celje Castle.
