A resort town on the country's scenic Adriatic coastline, Portoroz offers many spas with all kinds of therapeutic treatments, many based on the brine and mud from the area's salt pans.
Step out of the city life by going to Portorož Beach and Koper City Beach. Step off the beaten path and head to Tartini Square and Walls of Piran. Go for a jaunt from Portorož to Lipica to see Lipica Stud Farm about 42 minutes away. The adventure continues: get a new perspective on nature at Magical World of Shells Museum, take in the spiritual surroundings of St. George's Church, admire the majestic nature at Debeli Rtič Landscape Park, and pause for some serene contemplation at Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower.

Kobarid

At the very heart of picturesque Soca Valley, Kobarid delivers some of the most stunning views of Slovenia's highest peaks, as well as a chance to enjoy some exciting alpine rivers.
Step off the beaten path and head to Kayaking & Canoeing and Tolmin Gorge. Get outdoors at Kozjak Waterfall and Golf Club Bovec. Get out of town with these interesting Kobarid side-trips: Bovec (Predil Pass & Virje Waterfall). There's still lots to do: admire the verdant scenery at Soča Valley, take in the architecture and atmosphere at St Mary of the Assumption church, see the interesting displays at Kobarid Museum, and take in the dramatic scenery at Boka Waterfall.
