The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
Visit Old Town Centre of Radovljica and Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary for their historical value. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Parasailing & Paragliding and Zelenci Nature Reserve. Explore Bled's surroundings by going to Church of St John the Baptist (in Bohinjsko Jezero), Franja Partisan Hospital (in Cerkno) and Casino Korona (in Kranjska Gora). There's still lots to do: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount Triglav, tee off at Royal Bled Golf Course, and take in the dramatic scenery at Martuljek Waterfalls.

Popular historic sites such as Outdoor Museum Kolovrat (muzej na prostem) and Sveta Gora (Holy Mountain) are in your itinerary. Change things up with these side-trips from Kobarid: Lepa Vida Boutique Winery (in Šempas), Planica Valley (in Rateče) and Ajdovska Deklica (in Kranjska Gora). Cycling may be one of the best ways to tour Maribor, a great base for exploring the surrounding area and conquering Pohorje Mountains.

Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Start off your visit on the 4th (Tue): scramble along the landscape with a canyoning and rapelling tour, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, then find your balance on the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedral of St. Nicholas.
