At the very heart of picturesque Soca Valley, Kobarid delivers some of the most stunning views of Slovenia's highest peaks, as well as a chance to enjoy some exciting alpine rivers.

Drive from Bled to Kobarid in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and bus; or take a bus. In May in Kobarid, expect temperatures between 20°C during the day and 8°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 25th (Sat) early enough to drive to Koper.

Koper — 5 nights

A bridge between the Mediterranean and alpine regions of Slovenia, Koper is a small town with big appeal.
Step out of the city life by going to Strunjan Nature Reserve and Scuba & Snorkeling. Explore hidden gems such as Hrastovlje Church of the Holy Trinity and Grad Prem. Venture out of the city with trips to Vipava (Petric Winery - Vipava & Wines Jamsek), Vino Zorz (in Slap) and Pivka (Pivka Park of Military History & Museo Militare Di Pivka). Drive from Kobarid to Koper in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Traveling from Kobarid in May, expect Koper to be a bit warmer, temps between 26°C and 13°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Thu) to allow time to drive to Maribor.

Cycling may be one of the best ways to tour Maribor, a great base for exploring the surrounding area and conquering Pohorje Mountains.

Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Start off your visit on the 4th (Tue): scramble along the landscape with a canyoning and rapelling tour, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, then find your balance on the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedral of St. Nicholas.
