A bridge between the Mediterranean and alpine regions of Slovenia, Koper is a small town with big appeal.

You can drive from Ljubljana to Koper in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. Traveling from Ljubljana in July, expect somewhat warmer with lows of 20°C in Koper. Cap off your sightseeing on the 30th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Bovec.
