Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Ljubljanica River and Celje Castle. Attractions like Cathedral of St. Nicholas and Stand-Up Paddleboarding make great kid-friendly stops. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Ljubljana: Rakov Škocjan Landscape Park (in Rakek), Cross Cave (in Grahovo) and Škofja Loka (Puštal Castle, Špital and the Špital Church of Our Lady of Sorrows, &more). Spend the 19th (Tue) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Koper

A bridge between the Mediterranean and alpine regions of Slovenia, Koper is a small town with big appeal.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Strunjan Nature Reserve and Scuba & Snorkeling. Visit Koper City Beach and Svetilnik Beach for some beach relaxation.
