Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Get some cultural insight at Ljubljana Old Town and Predjama Castle. Step out of the city life by going to Postojna Cave and Nature & Wildlife Tours. A resort town on the country's scenic Adriatic coastline, Portoroz offers many spas with all kinds of therapeutic treatments, many based on the brine and mud from the area's salt pans.
On the 19th (Sat), take in the architecture and atmosphere at Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower and then stroll through Portorož Beach. On the 20th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: admire the landmark architecture of Praetorian Palace, don't miss a visit to Walls of Piran, view the masterpieces at Tartini's House, then make a trip to Tartini Square, and finally explore the activities along Dragonja.
