Zgornja Kungota is a village and the seat of the Municipality of Kungota in the western part of the Slovene Hills (Slovenske gorice) in northeastern Slovenia.The parish church in the village, from which the settlement gets its name, is dedicated to Saint Cunigunde and belongs to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Maribor. Shop till you drop at Vino Valdhuber and Olimje Chocolate Shop. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Ptuj Castle and Radgonske Gorice. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Zgornja Kungota: Winery Marof (in Mačkovci) and Jeruzalem Church (in Ivanjkovci). There's more to do: do a tasting at Vino Gaube.
