Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Get in touch with nature at Škocjan Caves and Postojna Cave. Change things up with these side-trips from Piran: Military Museum Tabor (in Lokev), Postojna (Guštarna & Predjama Castle) and Rakov Škocjan Landscape Park (in Rakek).
