Located on the Adriatic coast, the old fishing town of Izola draws travelers with the enticing atmosphere of its Mediterranean streets.

You'll find plenty of places to visit near Izola: Postojna (Postojna Cave, Predjama Castle, &more), Lipica Stud Farm (in Lipica) and Škocjan Caves (in Škocjan). Piran to Izola is an approximately half hour shuttle ride. You can also drive; or take a bus. In May, plan for daily highs up to 26°C, and evening lows to 13°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Wed) early enough to drive back home.
