3 days in Piran Itinerary

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.

Venture out of the city with trips to Postojna (Postojna Cave, Predjama Castle, &more), Lipica Stud Farm (in Lipica) and Škocjan Caves (in Škocjan). And it doesn't end there: don't miss a visit to Tartini Square, examine the collection at Magical World of Shells Museum, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. George's Church, and pause for some serene contemplation at Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower.

Ljubljana to Piran is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. You can also take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Ljubljana in May, plan for somewhat warmer nights in Piran, with lows around 13°C. On the 19th (Thu), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can drive back home.
