A resort town on the country's scenic Adriatic coastline, Portoroz offers many spas with all kinds of therapeutic treatments, many based on the brine and mud from the area's salt pans.

When in Portorož, make a side trip to see Predjama Castle in Postojna, approximately Postojna away. There's much more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Portorož Beach, admire the striking features of Praetorian Palace, stroll around Sečovlje Salina Nature Park, and take in the spiritual surroundings of St. George's Church.
