3 days in Sežana & Ajdovščina Itinerary

Sežana is a town in the Slovenian Littoral region of Slovenia, near the border with Italy. Ljubljana to Sežana is an approximately 1-hour car ride. You can also take a bus; or take a train. Traveling from Ljubljana in March, expect somewhat warmer with lows of 9°C in Sežana. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel to Ajdovščina.

Ajdovščina is a small town with a population of about 6,700, located in the Vipava Valley, during Italian rule (1918–1943, nominally lasted to 1947), the style of the town does not resemble that of a typical Italian town. Kick off your visit on the 31st (Wed): contemplate the long history of Anthony's Shaft Mining Museum, discover the riches below the earth's surface at Idrija Kamšt, then explore the striking landscape at Otlica Natural Window, then walk around Ferrari Garden, and finally explore the historical opulence of Štanjel Castle.
