Ljubljana to Piran is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. You can also take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Ljubljana in August, Piran is somewhat warmer at night with lows of 20°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Wed) to allow time to drive back home.
