Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Get a sense of the local culture at St. George's Church and Besenghi Degli Ughi Palace. Popular historic sites such as Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower and Socerb Castle are in your itinerary. Step out of Piran with an excursion to Lipica Stud Farm in Lipica--about 50 minutes away. There's much more to do: kick back and relax at Portorož Beach, walk around Strunjan Nature Reserve, immerse yourself in nature at Debeli Rtič Landscape Park, and don't miss a visit to Walls of Piran.
