At the picturesque confluence of two rivers, Tolmin offers quick access to a range of exciting outdoor activities.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Vogel and Soča Valley. Get outdoors at Tolmin Gorge and Virje Waterfall. Venture out of the city with trips to Great Soča Gorge (in Soča), Bovec (Kayaking & Canoeing & Boka Waterfall) and Bohinjsko Jezero (Golden Horn Fairyland & Ukanc Military Cemetery). There's still lots to do: take in the dramatic scenery at Kozjak Waterfall, enjoy the sand and surf at Natural Bathing Place Lajšt, and see the interesting displays at Kobarid Museum.

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Escape the urban bustle at Škocjan Caves and Strunjan Nature Reserve. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Portorož Beach and Debeli Rtič Landscape Park. Step out of Piran to go to Črni Kal and see Socerb Castle, which is approximately 40 minutes away. There's still lots to do: make a trip to Tartini Square, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. George's Church, and enjoy the sand and surf at Zusterna Beach.
