The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.

Step off the beaten path and head to Lake Bohinj and Vogel. Get outdoors at Parasailing & Paragliding and Boka Waterfall. Change things up with these side-trips from Bled: Mostnica Gorge (in Stara Fužina) and Bovec (Virje Waterfall & Soča Valley). Next up on the itinerary: tour the pleasant surroundings at Straža Bled and take in the dramatic natural features at Vintgar Gorge.

Milan, Italy to Bled is an approximately 5-hour combination of flight and shuttle. You can also drive; or take a train. Traveling from Milan in July, expect little chillier with lows of 17°C in Bled. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 17th (Mon) so you can go by car to Ljubljana.

Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.

Drive from Bled to Ljubljana in an hour. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. July in Ljubljana sees daily highs of 32°C and lows of 17°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
