Nestled on the banks of the Savinja River, Lasko is both a spa town and home to the country's largest and most famous brewery.

Venture out of the city with trips to Novo Mesto Cathedral (in Novo Mesto), The Coal Mining Museum of Slovenia (in Velenje) and Brežice Castle (in Brežice).
