6 days in Ljubljana & Central Slovenia & Bled Itinerary

Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.

Take a break from the city and head to Nature & Wildlife Tours and Ljubljanica River. Get some historical perspective at Ljubljana Castle and Franciscan Church of the Annunciation. There's much more to do: wander the streets of Ljubljana Old Town, walk around Tivoli Park, visit Metelkova, and snap pictures at Dragon Bridge.

Explore Bled's surroundings by going to Zipline Bohinj (in Bohinjska Bistrica) and Vršič Pass (in Kranjska Gora). Spend the 10th (Mon) exploring nature at Triglav National Park. The adventure continues: glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour.

Drive from Ljubljana to Bled in an hour. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. In August, plan for daily highs up to 31°C, and evening lows to 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive back home.
