6 days in Maribor, Ptuj & Celje Itinerary

Cycling may be one of the best ways to tour Maribor, a great base for exploring the surrounding area and conquering Pohorje Mountains.

Getting from Maribor to Ptuj by car takes about an hour. Other options: take a train; or take a bus. In July, daytime highs in Ptuj are 32°C, while nighttime lows are 18°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Fri) early enough to drive to Celje.
