Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Ljubljana: Postojna (Postojna Cave & Predjama Castle), Vintgar Gorge (in Zgornje Gorje) and Bled (Ojstrica, Bled Castle, &more). And it doesn't end there: stop by Ljubljana Old Town, take in the views from Triple Bridge, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedral of St. Nicholas, and step into the grandiose world of Ljubljana Castle.

Vienna, Austria to Ljubljana is an approximately 4-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of flight and shuttle; or take a shuttle. In August in Ljubljana, expect temperatures between 31°C during the day and 15°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 26th (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Koper.
