A resort town on the country's scenic Adriatic coastline, Portoroz offers many spas with all kinds of therapeutic treatments, many based on the brine and mud from the area's salt pans.
Start off your visit on the 4th (Thu): make a trip to Taverna Koper, then learn more about the world around you at Magical World of Shells Museum, then indulge in some personalized pampering at Fish Spa Piran, and finally relax in the rural setting at Fonda Fish Farm.

Drive from Ljubljana to Portorož in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus.
