Bled — 1 night

The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
Kick off your visit on the 17th (Sun): take in the dramatic scenery at Mostnica Gorge, then admire the sheer force of Savica Waterfall, then explore the activities along Lake Bohinj, and finally step off the mainland to explore Bled Island. On the next day, whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, Head underground at Pokljuka Gorge, then trek along Vintgar Gorge, and finally glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour.

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Kick off your visit on the 20th (Wed): see the interesting displays at Sergej Mašera Maritime Museum, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St. Francis of Assisi, then learn more about the world around you at Mediadom Pyrhani, and finally see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour.
