Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Kick off your visit on the 25th (Mon): don't miss a visit to Tartini Square, enjoy the sand and surf at Strunjan Nature Reserve, then stroll through Portorož Beach, and finally get a new perspective on nature at Magical World of Shells Museum.

Ljubljana to Piran is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. You can also take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Expect somewhat warmer evenings in Piran when traveling from Ljubljana in April, with lows around 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Mon) so you can drive to Bled.
