In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.
Kick off your visit on the 14th (Mon): look for all kinds of wild species at Planica Valley, then look for all kinds of wild species at Vršič Pass, and then don't miss a visit to Predil Pass. Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Step out of the city life by going to Triglav National Park and Parasailing & Paragliding. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Ljubljana: Bled (St. Martin's Parish Church & Bled Castle) and Vintgar Gorge (in Zgornje Gorje). Spend the 18th (Fri) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's still lots to do: stop by Ljubljana Old Town, step into the grandiose world of Ljubljana Castle, get a sense of history and politics at Town Hall, and snap pictures at Triple Bridge.
