The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
Step out of Bled to go to Bohinjsko Jezero and see Lake Bohinj, which is approximately 34 minutes away. Spend the 18th (Thu) exploring nature at Triglav National Park. There's still lots to do: trek along Vintgar Gorge, head off the coast to Bled Island, step into the grandiose world of Bled Castle, and glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour.

Barcelona, Spain to Bled is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and shuttle; or drive. Plan for slightly colder nights when traveling from Barcelona in August since evenings lows in Bled dip to 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Fri) so you can drive to Ljubljana.

Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Ljubljana: Škocjan Caves (in Škocjan), Postojna (Predjama Castle, Postojna Cave, &more) and Cross Cave (in Grahovo). There's still lots to do: wander the streets of Ljubljana Old Town, snap pictures at Triple Bridge, don't miss a visit to Ljubljana Castle, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedral of St. Nicholas.

You can drive from Bled to Ljubljana in an hour. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. In August, daily temperatures in Ljubljana can reach 31°C, while at night they dip to 15°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 22nd (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
