The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
Attractions like Parasailing & Paragliding and Zipline make great kid-friendly stops. Step out of Bled to go to Bohinjsko Jezero and see Lake Bohinj, which is approximately 34 minutes away. There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Vintgar Gorge, admire the landmark architecture of Bled Island, hike along Mala Osojnica, and pause for some serene contemplation at St. Martin's Parish Church.

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
On the 27th (Wed), enjoy the sand and surf at Strunjan Nature Reserve, then explore the fascinating underground world of Škocjan Caves, and then look for all kinds of wild species at Škocjanski Zatok Nature Reserve. Keep things going the next day: experience rural life at Fonda Fish Farm, then identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas, then learn more about the world around you at Magical World of Shells Museum, and finally make a trip to Tartini Square.

Drive from Bled to Piran in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Bled in July, expect somewhat warmer with lows of 21°C in Piran. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 28th (Thu) to allow time to drive to Ljubljana.
