Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Step off the beaten path and head to Wine Tours & Tastings and Tivoli Park. There's still lots to do: stop by Ljubljana Old Town, contemplate the waterfront views at Ljubljanica River, take in the spiritual surroundings of Cathedral of St. Nicholas, and ponder the world of politics at Town Hall.

Warsaw, Poland to Ljubljana is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus. When traveling from Warsaw in January, plan for a bit warmer days in Ljubljana, with highs around 5°C, while nights are about the same with lows around -3°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Sun) so you can go by car to Piran.

Drive from Ljubljana to Piran in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Ljubljana in January, expect Piran to be a bit warmer, temps between 11°C and 1°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Mon) so you can drive to Bled.

The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
