Piran

— 2 nights
Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Piran: Škocjan Caves (in Škocjan) and Reservoir Dogs brewery (in Nova Gorica). There's still lots to do: get a new perspective on nature at Magical World of Shells Museum, don't miss a visit to Taverna Koper, take in the spiritual surroundings of St. George's Church, and indulge in some personalized pampering at Fish Spa Piran.

To find ratings, other places to visit, reviews, and tourist information, read our Piran trip planning website.

Warsaw, Poland to Piran is an approximately 7-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. Traveling from Warsaw in January, expect Piran to be somewhat warmer, temps between 11°C and 1°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Sat) so you can drive to Ljubljana.
