Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.

A resort town on the country's scenic Adriatic coastline, Portoroz offers many spas with all kinds of therapeutic treatments, many based on the brine and mud from the area's salt pans.
Kick off your visit on the 27th (Thu): take in the architecture and atmosphere at Hrastovlje Church of the Holy Trinity, then Head underground at Škocjan Caves, then admire the landmark architecture of Casa Veneziana, and finally admire the landmark architecture of Taverna Koper. Here are some ideas for day two: relax in the rural setting at Fonda Fish Farm, indulge in some personalized pampering at Fish Spa Piran, get curious at Magical World of Shells Museum, then take a leisurely stroll along Port Piran, and finally don't miss a visit to Tartini Square.
