Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Tue): see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, then enjoy the sand and surf at Strunjan Nature Reserve, and then see the interesting displays at Izolana - House of the Sea. Keep things going the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of Piran Minorite Monastery and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St. Francis of Assisi.
