Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Take a break from the city and head to Triglav National Park and Postojna Cave. Change things up with these side-trips from Ljubljana: Bled (Mala Osojnica, Galerija Mikame, &more), Vintgar Gorge (in Zgornje Gorje) and Planina Cave (in Postojna). Spend the 14th (Wed) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour.
