The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
Get out of town with these interesting Bled side-trips: Vršič Pass (in Kranjska Gora) and Bohinjsko Jezero (Vogel & Lake Bohinj). There's still lots to do: take in the dramatic natural features at Vintgar Gorge, fly like a bird with a parasailing or paragliding tour, whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, and explore the historical opulence of Bled Castle.

Brussels, Belgium to Bled is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. When traveling from Brussels in July, plan for somewhat warmer days in Bled, with highs around 32°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Bovec.

On the 15th (Sat), Head underground at Postojna Cave, then step into the grandiose world of Predjama Castle, and then learn about all things military at Idrija War Museum.
