Genoa, Italy to Kobarid is an approximately 6-hour car ride. In August, Kobarid is slightly colder than Genoa - with highs of 28°C and lows of 14°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 15th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Bled.

The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.

Change things up with these side-trips from Bled: Kranjska Gora (Lake Jasna & Vršič Pass) and Bohinjsko Jezero (Church of St John the Baptist, Lake Bohinj, &more). Getting from Kobarid to Bled by car takes about 2 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of bus and train; or take a bus. In August in Bled, expect temperatures between 31°C during the day and 15°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Sun) so you can drive back home.
