The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
Get out of town with these interesting Bled side-trips: Bohinjsko Jezero (Church of St John the Baptist, Lake Bohinj, &more) and Kranjska Gora (Lake Jasna & Vršič Pass). There's still lots to do: glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour, explore the historical opulence of Bled Castle, stroll through Bled Island, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Martin's Parish Church.

Turku, Finland to Bled is an approximately 13.5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. Traveling from Turku to Bled, you'll gain 1 hour due to the time zone difference. Bovec

In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.
Kick off your visit on the 8th (Fri): sample the tasty concoctions at Thirsty River Brewing, then get outside with Outdoor Activities, and then kick your exploration up a notch at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks. On your second day here, take in the dramatic scenery at Kozjak Waterfall, then appreciate the views at Soča Valley, and then take in the dramatic natural features at Tolmin Gorge.

Traveling by car from Bled to Bovec takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. In July in Bovec, expect temperatures between 29°C during the day and 15°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
