Verona, Italy to Bovec is an approximately 4-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of train and car; or do a combination of train, shuttle, and bus. In July, Bovec is a bit cooler than Verona - with highs of 29°C and lows of 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to Bled.

Attractions like Lake Bohinj and Bled Island make great kid-friendly stops. Explore Bled's surroundings by going to Kranjska Gora (The Russian Chapel, Vršič Pass, &more) and Bohinjsko Jezero (Church of St John the Baptist, Savica Waterfall, &more). You can drive from Bovec to Bled in 1.5 hours. Other options are to take a bus; or do a combination of bus and train. In July in Bled, expect temperatures between 32°C during the day and 17°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Sat) so you can go by car back home.
