The capital of Slovenia's Alps, Kranj allows you to stand with one foot in the nature and another in a town that's both a cultural center and a base for outdoor activities.

You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kranj: Idrija (Idrija Kamšt & Anthony's Shaft Mining Museum), Plansarsko Jezero (in Zgornje Jezersko) and Logar Valley Landscape Park (in Solčava).
