Explore Ljubljana's surroundings by going to Postojna Cave (in Postojna), Portorož Beach (in Portorož) and Lepa Vida Boutique Winery (in Šempas).

To see other places to visit, more things to do, ratings, and other tourist information, refer to the Ljubljana day trip planning site.

Newark, USA to Ljubljana is an approximately 14-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 6 hours traveling from Newark to Ljubljana. Bled — 4 nights

The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
Get outdoors at Lake Bohinj and Straža Bled. Discover out-of-the-way places like Vogel and Parasailing & Paragliding. Venture out of the city with trips to Mostnica Gorge (in Stara Fužina), Bovec (Soča Valley & Boka Waterfall) and Kozjak Waterfall (in Kobarid). There's still lots to do: take some stellar pictures from Mala Osojnica, whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, and explore the striking landscape at Vintgar Gorge.
