Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Visiting Mala Osojnica and Scuba & Snorkeling will get you outdoors. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Room Escape Games and Magical World of Shells Museum. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Ljubljana: Strunjan Nature Reserve (in Strunjan), St. Martin's Parish Church (in Bled) and Port Piran (in Piran). Milan, Italy to Ljubljana is an approximately 4-hour combination of flight and shuttle. You can also drive; or take a shuttle. Expect little chillier evenings in Ljubljana when traveling from Milan in July, with lows around 17°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Bovec.

Drive from Ljubljana to Bovec in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train, bus, and taxi; or take a bus. In July in Bovec, expect temperatures between 29°C during the day and 15°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 8th (Sat) so you can go by car back home.
