A trip to Nova Gorica takes you to the land between the Alps and the sea.

Memmingen, Germany to Nova Gorica is an approximately 6.5-hour car ride. Traveling from Memmingen in March, expect Nova Gorica to be a bit warmer, temps between 17°C and 4°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Mon) early enough to drive to Piran.

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.

You'll find plenty of places to visit near Piran: Lipica (Lipica Stud Farm & Lipizzan Museum Lipikum) and Škocjan Caves (in Škocjan). Traveling by car from Nova Gorica to Piran takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and car; or take a bus. In March, daytime highs in Piran are 17°C, while nighttime lows are 5°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 18th (Sat) so you can go by car back home.
