Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Ljubljana: Vintgar Gorge (in Zgornje Gorje) and Bled (Parasailing & Paragliding & Bled Castle). Spend the 1st (Sun) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's still lots to do: take a stroll through Ljubljana Old Town, contemplate the waterfront views at Ljubljanica River, take in the views from Triple Bridge, and explore the historical opulence of Ljubljana Castle.

Moscow, Russia to Ljubljana is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. You'll gain 2 hours traveling from Moscow to Ljubljana due to the time zone difference. When traveling from Moscow in August, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Ljubljana: temperatures range from 31°C by day to 15°C at night.
