On the 1st (Tue), explore the historical opulence of Ljubljana Castle, contemplate the waterfront views at Ljubljanica River, take a stroll through Ljubljana Old Town, then snap pictures at Triple Bridge, and finally take in the views from Dragon Bridge. On the 2nd (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: explore the fascinating underground world of Postojna Cave, then explore the historical opulence of Predjama Castle, then look for gifts at Guštarna, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Cathedral of St. Nicholas.

Krakow, Poland to Ljubljana is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. When traveling from Krakow in January, plan for a bit warmer days in Ljubljana, with highs around 5°C, while nights are about the same with lows around -3°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Wed) so you can drive to Celje.

Bled — 1 day

The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Thu): take in the spiritual surroundings of Bled Island, then explore the historical opulence of Bled Castle, then hike along Vintgar Gorge, and finally fly like a bird with a parasailing or paragliding tour.

Drive from Celje to Bled in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or do a combination of train and bus. When traveling from Celje in February, plan for little chillier days and about the same nights in Bled: temperatures range from 5°C by day to -3°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 3rd (Thu) early enough to drive to Bovec.

In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Kick off your visit on the 6th (Sun): take in the architecture and atmosphere at Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower, then Head underground at Škocjan Caves, and then brush up on your military savvy at Military Museum Tabor. Here are some ideas for day two: don't miss a visit to Tartini Square, then take in the spiritual surroundings of St. George's Church, and then get a new perspective on nature at Magical World of Shells Museum.
