The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
Get out of town with these interesting Bled side-trips: Bohinjsko Jezero (Vogel & Lake Bohinj), Peričnik Falls (in Mojstrana) and Vršič Pass (in Kranjska Gora). Piran — 2 nights

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
On the 13th (Wed), walk around Strunjan Nature Reserve, Head underground at Škocjan Caves, and then learn about winemaking at Vinakoper. On the 14th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: examine the collection at Izolana - House of the Sea, see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, then have fun and explore at Magical World of Shells Museum, then take in the spiritual surroundings of St. George's Church, and finally don't miss a visit to Tartini Square.
