Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Explore Ljubljana's surroundings by going to Bled (Triglav National Park, Ojstrica, &more). Traveling from Barcelona in June, plan for slightly colder nights in Ljubljana, with lows around 14°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Mon) early enough to drive to Zgornje Gorje.

Zgornje Gorje — 1 night

Nestled in a green valley and surrounded by rolling hills, Zgornje Gorje is dominated by the spire of the parish church in the center of the village.
Kick off your visit on the 14th (Tue): trek along Vintgar Gorge, then explore the fascinating underground world of Pokljuka Gorge, then take in the dramatic scenery at Iglica Waterfall, and finally examine the collection at Pocar Farm.

Traveling by car from Ljubljana to Zgornje Gorje takes an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Expect a daytime high around 29°C in June, and nighttime lows around 14°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Bovec.

You can drive from Zgornje Gorje to Bovec in 2 hours. Another option is to take a bus. In June in Bovec, expect temperatures between 26°C during the day and 13°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 15th (Wed) so you can go by car to Postojna.
