Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
You'll explore and learn at Galerija Mikame and House of Illusions. Do some cultural sightseeing at Bled Castle and Museum of Pharmacy and Alchemy. Change things up with a short trip to Bled Island in Bled (about 50 minutes away). Spend the 15th (Sat) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's much more to do: make a trip to Ljubljana Castle, contemplate the waterfront views at Ljubljanica River, take in the spiritual surroundings of Cathedral of St. Nicholas, and wander the streets of Ljubljana Old Town.

Magical World of Shells Museum and Sergej Mašera Maritime Museum will appeal to museum buffs. Do some cultural sightseeing at Military Museum Tabor and Hrastovlje Church of the Holy Trinity. And it doesn't end there: relax in the rural setting at Fonda Fish Farm, see the interesting displays at Koper Regional Museum, look for all kinds of wild species at Strunjan Nature Reserve, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. George's Church.
