The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.

You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Peričnik Falls and Zelenci Nature Reserve. Step out of the city life by going to Triglav National Park and Vintgar Gorge. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Bled: Velika Planina (in Stahovica), Lake Bohinj (in Bohinjsko Jezero) and Church of St. Nicholas (in Spodnja Sorica). And it doesn't end there: glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour, admire the verdant scenery at Zgornjesavska Valley, head off the coast to Bled Island, and admire the sheer force of Martuljek Waterfalls.

Berlin, Germany to Bled is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. In May in Bled, expect temperatures between 23°C during the day and 9°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Mon) early enough to drive to Bovec.

Take a break from the city and head to Kayaking & Canoeing and Zipline. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Source of the Soča River and Fort Hermann. Drive from Bled to Bovec in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. In May, daily temperatures in Bovec can reach 20°C, while at night they dip to 8°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Thu) so you can travel back home.
