Ljubljana — 4 nights

Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Cathedral of St. Nicholas and Škofja Loka Castle. You'll explore and learn at Magical World of Shells Museum and National Museum of Contemporary History. Explore Ljubljana's surroundings by going to Škofja Loka (Franc Mihelič Gallery, Sokol Home, &more), Postojna Cave (in Postojna) and Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower (in Koper). There's still lots to do: find your balance on the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, hunt for treasures at Ljubljana Central Market, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Franciscan Church of the Annunciation, and contemplate the waterfront views at Ljubljanica River.
