Piran

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
On the 7th (Wed), walk around Park Pietro Coppo, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower, then explore the fascinating underground world of Škocjan Caves, and finally stroll around Strunjan Nature Reserve. Here are some ideas for day two: admire the landmark architecture of Benečanka Venetian House, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. George's Church, view the masterpieces at Nika's Tiny House, make a trip to Tartini Square, then get a new perspective on nature at Magical World of Shells Museum, and finally admire the landmark architecture of Sodna palaca.

You can drive from Ljubljana to Piran in 1.5 hours. Other options are to take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Ljubljana in July, Piran is somewhat warmer at night with lows of 21°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 8th (Thu) so you can go by car to Bovec.

Bovec

In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.
On the 9th (Fri), kick your exploration up a notch at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, then sample the tasty concoctions at Thirsty River Brewing, and then paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 10th (Sat): see the interesting displays at Cheese Museum of Kobarid, explore the activities along Soča Valley, then explore the stunning scenery at Great Soča Gorge, and finally look for all kinds of wild species at Vršič Pass.

Traveling from Piran in July, things will get slightly colder in Bovec: highs are around 29°C and lows about 15°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 10th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Bohinjsko Jezero.

Bohinjsko Jezero
