Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
On the 11th (Fri), snap pictures at Cobblers' Bridge, step into the grandiose world of Ljubljana Castle, ponder the world of politics at Town Hall, then take in the views from Triple Bridge, and finally stop by Ljubljana Old Town. Here are some ideas for day two: explore the historical opulence of Predjama Castle, then Head underground at Škocjan Caves, and then walk around Tivoli Park.

Venture out of the city with trips to Lake Bohinj (in Bohinjsko Jezero) and Bovec (Soča Valley, Zipline, &more). Spend the 16th (Wed) exploring nature at Triglav National Park.
